And now the most exciting trailer in a very long time. Narnia makes my hair stand on end. It’s quite wonderful. (I need to go read those books again.)
What can I say about this movie? It’s going to be great. Georgie Henley, the girl who plays Lucy is still the heart of the Narnia movies, she’s just the best. Will Poulter as Eustace was also a great casting choice. He’s the perfect bad little kid. And Caspian is back… with a beard… alright, that’s odd-looking.
The scene at the end of the world with the flowers in the water was one of my favorites from the books, and it looks like they did it perfectly.
I’m very happy that Disney dropped out of the movie, but didn’t prevent Walden from continuing on, that would have been tragic. After this movie things will get very complicated. Walden Media might have the guts to make The Silver Chair, but it would be very surprising. I don’t think they could make The Last Battle right after that, but if they didn’t then they’d have to recast the roles or rewrite the story. Regardless The Last Battle would make a very challenging movie. I would mostly only watch it to see the final scene. I’m kinda hoping that they film the movies in the order they were released, so The Silver Chair next then The Horse and His Boy (that would be a great movie) and then The Magician’s Nephew (everyone loves prequels). If all those movies managed to continue on without a flop then maybe they could think about how to film the Last Battle. I’m probably getting way ahead of myself, if this movie flops, which it easily could, then it could end the series.
